Lecturer
Lecturers provide a valuable service to the academic community and yes, they do have lives outside of the lecture venue. Although this may seem as a shock to most, being a lecturer is as normal a job as any other! Lecturers help in the teaching process by passing on their knowledge and understanding of various theories and practical skills to students. You will need to specialise in one particular field of study and, more often than not, have completed an extensive amount of post-graduate research. Despite having all this knowledge and understanding the meaning of life, lecturers still need to successfully pass on their knowledge to their students. You will need to be a good communicator and have enough patience to deal with those very ‘naughty’ people who disrupt class!
