All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2010 PDF Print E-mail


Applications are invited in the prescribed form for All India Pre-Medical / Pre-Dental Entrance Examination (AIPMT) 2010 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi as per the following schedule for admission to 15% of the total seats for Medical/Dental Courses in all Medical/Dental Colleges run by the Union of India, State Governments, Municipal and other local authorities in India except in the States of ANDHRA PRADESH AND JAMMU &
KASHMIR :-
1. Preliminary Examination - 3rd April, 2010 (Saturday)
2. Final Examination - 16th May, 2010 (Sunday)

PATTERN OF EXAMINATION: BOTH PRELIMINARY AND FINAL EXAMINATION WOULD BE OBJECTIVE TYPE.


Eligibility for CBSE AIPMT 2010

(i) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.

(ii) The upper age limit for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes.

(iii) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at All India Pre-Medical/Pre- Dental Entrance Examination shall be limited to 3 (three) uniformly for all the candidates.

(iv) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. Further, for persons for locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Those who are taking plus two examination in 2010 can also appear for the entrance test provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

(v) 15% seats for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates, 27% seats for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Institutions only and 3% seats on horizontal basis for Physically Handicapped candidates are reserved in 15% All India Quota for MBBS/BDS courses.

Procedure of EAMCET web counselling 2009 PDF Print E-mail

Engineering admissions is done by total web counselling from this year . This is to complete the admission process early, but this process needs to be understood carefully by the students.

The entire process can be divided into eight phases.

Phase 1: Register for certificate verification with details like hall ticket number and rank at the helpline centre.

Phase 2: Verification of Certificates: Verify the details printed on registration form for name, local area, sex, category, date of birth etc for correctness. If there is any mistake, report to verification officer for correction. If you belong to SC/ST/BC Category submit the original Caste Certificate.

After that report to one of the Certificate verification officers to get other certificates like Rank Card, Hall ticket, Marks memo, Study certificate, income certificate etc. for verification. If you belong to OC Category, directly report to Certificate verification officer.

A print out of receipts of certificates will be given to you and if you find any discrepancy report to the Chief Verification Officer for correction. Append your signature.

Phase 3: Instructions on Exercising Options:
Select colleges and courses you wish to join
Arrange them in the order of priority
Collect list of college and their codes, courses offered and course codes, manual option form and specimen option form and retain with you.
 The officer in briefing room will explain the procedure of exercising options and filling of blank option form.

Phase 4: Preparatory work to be made by you at home for exercising options: Consult your parents or friends on the selection of courses and colleges.Take the manual option form and write option number, college code and course code.

Phase 5: Procedure to be followed for exercising options on Internet: You can exercise the options from home or from any Internet café or from any Help Line Centre. For entering the options on the computer screen make use of specimen option form. Save the option numbers entered on the screen periodically.
